Once in while the catch from the Caspian Sea bears real gold. Almas is the rarest caviar in the world.

Once in while the catch from the Caspian Sea bears real gold. Almas is the rarest caviar in the world. It is taken from behind the gills of an Osciestra sturgeon when they are between 60 and 80 years old. Almas Caviar eggs are a pale translucent amber colour and are without a doubt the true treasures of the Caspian Sea. These perfectly rounded golden eggs are any foodies dream. The eggs are so fresh that they roll on your tongue before popping perfectly on the roof of your mouth, releasing a taste explosion to tantalise your tastebuds. The eggs have a beautifully buttery taste while still maintaining the nutty tastes associated with Oscietra caviar. Before they focused on farmed caviars, Caviar House once held a limited stock of Almas Caviar. They quoted the value of this product as £14,000 per kilo and held in such high regard that they sold the product in 24 carat gold plated tins. As always, we provide value for money in all our produce, hence you won't be buying a 24 carat tin!Almas caviar is the King of all caviars and is in a league of its own (as stated by Jay Rayner, leading food journalist, Observer Food Magazine)Due to the limited supply of this caviar, we can only offer the product in limited quantitiesDo not forget that you can use your Foodie Club membership to redeem your entitled discount. Please make sure you have your membership number before ordering.

Premium Beluga Caviar, 00 Grade (Huso huso): London Fine Foods' 00 grade Beluga Caviar is considered by many of our customers as the 'best value for money' Beluga Caviar in Europe today. Our Beluga eggs are carefully graded upon catch and we are more than generous with our sizing policy. The Premium Beluga Caviar range by London Fine Foods has larger than average eggs that are found in other Grade 00 Beluga eggs that are currently sold online with other UK caviar retailers. The Premium Beluga eggs are medium to light translucent grey and have a slight opalescent tint allowing the light to bounce off the eggs and reflect in a way that no other food can, similar to a sparkling diamond.

Historically this selection was kept for the Russian Tsars and the Iranian Shahs who chose the product for its gourmet flavour and golden colour, however London Fine Foods take great pride in making this wonderful delicacy available to all our customers. This prestige caviar selection of is a must for all true gourmets. Eventhough people often refer to the "Oscietra Sturgeon", there really isn't any such fish. Oscietra Caviar actually comes from a number of different sturgeon species which produce similar eggs. This is one of the reasons for there being such diversity in colour and size of this type of caviar. Generally, though, Oscietra Caviar is comes from the Russian Sturgeon
