Product Description :

We produced the first AIRE-O2® Aspirator Aerator in 1974. Now 50,000 units later its become the proven performance leader all over the world.

A partial list of its advantages shows why:

  • Superior horizontal mixing
  • High oxygen transfer
  • Easy installation
  • Dependable, extended service life
  • Low maintenance
  • Highly energy-efficient
  • Superior winter performance
  • No aerosols
  • Simplifies retrofits and upgrades

Elegant design makes operation simple and effective

The rotating propeller:

(1) forces water outward horizontally past the end of the shaft at high velocity. This creates a vacuum drawing air down the shaft (4) into the water. Above the water line, atmospheric air is drawn through intake ports (3) travels through the hollow drive shaft and disperses in a large plume throughout the water. Being diffused into fine bubbles about 2.0 mm diameter the oxygen has extended contact time with the water. The size of the plume (2) varies with the size of the aspirator/aerator which can be from two to 100 HP.

Properly positioned, these units can create a flow linkage that delivers mixing and oxygen dispersion evenly and thoroughly throughout an entire basin regardless of its size or shape. Dead spots are eliminated.

The Trusted Industry Workhorse Since 1974

The AIRE-O2® aerator is a high quality, minimal maintenance aspirator aerator with superior performance and a proven record. Aeration Industries International, Inc. developed and introduced the innovative, patented aspirator aeration technology in 1974. The aerator creates a high velocity stream of oxygen that keeps solids in suspension and in contact with the plume of fine bubbles. A series of strategically placed units creates "flow linkage," providing whole basin aeration and circulation that prevents shortcircuiting.

More than 50,000 AIRE-O2® aerators have been installed throughout the U.S. and over 85 countries worldwide making it the standard by which durability and quality are measured.

Myron L - CONTROLSTIK II - Rinse Tank System

A heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant automatic monitor/control for rinse water

The Myron L CONTROLSTIK II  Rinse Tank System dramatically reduces the amount of water used in continuous flow rinse tanks.  At the same time, it automatically maintains optimum water purity, ensuring effective rinsing.

Since water flows only when parts are rinsed, you save money on water bills, sewer use charges, and waste water treatment expenses.

Applications

  • Continuous-flow rinse tanks
  • Circuit board manufacturing
  • Electroplating
  • Wastewater

Features

  • IP65 / NEMA 4X Rating
  • Water and Corrosion Resistant Enclosure
  • 316 Stainless Steel Hardware
  • Reliable Solid-State Electronics
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation to 25ºC/77ºF

    • Anti-Hammer Closing Solenoid Valve with:
              • Adjustable Flow Control
              • Manual Override
              • Conduit Connector

How it works

The three parts of the CONTROLSTIK II System are easily installed.  The CONTROLSTIK II (conductivity sensor) is set at a tolerable contamination level and submerged in the tank.  Water cannot flow into the tank until drag-in from rinsed parts causes the contamination level in the tank to rise above the pre-set point.  The CONTROLSTIK II (sensor) then signals the solenoid valve to open, adding fresh water.  As soon as this fresh water dilutes the contamination to the tolerable pre-set level, the CONTROLSTIK II (sensor) closes the valve.

Engineering Specifications

Rinse water usage shall be minimized by means of automatic conductivity control systems.  They shall consist of a temperature compensated conductivity sensor, corrosion resistant one-inch solenoid valve and transformer box which safely reduces line power to the probe and sensor.  Circuitry shall be solid-state and unaffected by changes in voltage between 105 and 125 volts.  Setpoint adjustment shall be on sensor to minimize tampering.  Rinse tank controls shall be Myron L Model 597 or approved equal.

Warranty
Myron L CONTROLSTIK II Systems have a Two Year Limited Warranty. If this system fails to function normally, return the faulty unit or the system to the factory prepaid. If, in the opinion of the factory, failure was due to materials or workmanship, repair or replacement will be made without charge. A  reasonable service charge will be made for diagnosis or repairs due to normal wear, abuse or tampering. Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the units of the CONTROLSTIK II System only. The Myron L Company assumes no other responsibility or liability.

Drive Assembly

Clari-Vac employs a constant torque, variable speed DC electric motor, and sheave arrangement for its high-efficiency drive assembly, minimizing power requirements for even the largest tanks.

Siphon Pipes

The high-performance, corrosion-resistant siphon pipes are manufactured from stainless steel, further reducing the possibility of oxygen cell corrosion. Vacuum-tight joints are also standard. The siphon pipes form the basis of the structure to the bridge, reducing weight and resulting in lower power costs.

Guide Wheels

Inboard and outboard guide wheels on each clarifier bridge ensure maximum unit alignment and stability. Guide wheels on one side are also spring-loaded for better performance and allow for imperfections in concrete tank walls.

Effluent Trough

Effluent and scum troughs are constructed of "Leo-Lite" fiberglass-reinforced plastic to resist dents, rust, and warpage eliminates painting forever!

Idler Assembly

The Clari-Vac idler assembly features an integral jacking mechanism for ease of cable adjustment.

Fiberglass Floats

Floats are polyurethane foam encapsulated in fiberglass. Leopold further customizes floats for optimal performance by weighting them for prevailing hydraulic conditions. Leopold customizes floats to suit each installation.

Floating Bridge

The innovative floating bridge permits the collection headers to float at a minimum clearance of one inch from the floor of the tank. This allows the almost total clearance of sludge from the tanks if required. Friction to motion is virtually eliminated by the floats, reducing systems power costs.

Collection Headers with Patented Degassing System

Clari-Vac stainless steel collection headers siphon sludge from the floor of the tank with no stirring action, while the degassing system prevents the loss of flow rate capacity in wastewater systems.

Individual Sludge Valves

The flow in each stainless steel siphon pipe is independently controlled to protect against loss of prime. The rate of flow of sludge can be controlled exactly to minimize sludge production and maximize solids content.

Sludge Return

Dense sludge is deposited in the sludge return channel through individual valves, decreasing return rates in activated sludge and minimizing residuals in potable water. The channel flow runs continuously in wastewater systems and semi-continuously in potable water. This channel can be retrofitted for plant upgrades/rehabilitation.

Control Panel

The programmable control panel can accommodate individual facility requirements. The control panel features a stainless steel enclosure (rated NEMA 4X), solid state circuitry, and integral space heater and thermostat. Optional equipment is available for severe environments.
