A . Function and Usage

It is an ideal equipment for automatic submerged arc welding of I-steel and similar components.

Its operating principle is as follows:

Put the workpiece onto the stand of workpiece. The cantilever mounted with submerged arc welding head moves horizontally and up and down on the gantry, and makes the tip to align the weld, realize automatic tracking of the weld by means of CNC system. Then the gantry move straightly on the tracks to carry out the welding automatically and two welds may be welded with the machine at the same time.

II. Structure and Assembly

Description

It consists of gantry, welding arm, torch device, electrical control system and etc.

Gantry is the main part of the machine, other parts are mounted on the gantry (except for the power source of the welding machine), the gantry supports all the parts and moves at the welding speed with them. Two running sliding seats are under it, and drive the gantry moving on the tracks by step-by-step motor through decelerator, and other two pairs are against the side of tracks to guarantee the smooth moving. The operation platform is on the running beam of one side of gantry.

The welding arm and pulling plate are mounted on the main beam of the gantry to support the wire feeder and adjust the tip. The wire feeder of the welding machine is mounted on the top of the welding arm.

Mechanical tracking device of the torch is mounted under the welding arm, it can guarantee that the tip may align the weld to be welded all the time and keep a certain clearance with the weld.

Electrical control system consists of an electrical control box and two operation boxes. The control box is mounted on the side of the gantry and the operation boxes are mounted on the two columns. It can realize all of the actions by using it.

When working, operate the running system of the machine to travel along direction X to the designated welding area. The up-and-down of direction Z is driven by leading screw, and the horizontal moving of direction Y is realized by sliding plate tracks. Fine turn the support of the head to meet the movement of the plumb direction and get it in the working position. And the welding can be started at this time.
