With more than a million birds in the farm, we are never short of raw materials - chicken manure to produce our organic fertilizer.

Green Friend Fertilizer Sdn Bhd organic fertilizer is naturally fermented from chicken manure with technology from Japan. To ensure complete fermentation, the chicken manure is mixed and ploughed for about 40 days.

The end product is;

v A fully organic fertilizer without any chemical additives,
v pH level of 7.9,
v organic matter at 38%,
v N.P.K ratio of 2.2.2

It is most suitable for vegetables, flowers and fruit farming, such as watermelon, papaya, banana etc.

Breeder Facilities

In addition to its quality eggs, Huat Lai's breeder facility has also received acclaim for its effective farm and hatchery management as well as superb quality layer 'Lohmann' chicks which are imported from a top European breeder, Lohmann Tierzucht of Germany.

The modern hatchery enables an average production of 370,000 Lohmann day-old layer chicks per month. Huat Lai is also accredited by the Primary Production Department of Singapore for the export of Lohmann layer day-old chicks to Singapore.

Modern hatchery ensures chicks are healthy.

Chicks are individually inspected and selected to ensure quality chicks are delivered to the buyers.

Huat Lai's production facilities are currently spread over six farms in the districts of Serkam and Selandar

Computerized feed milling facility ensures quality feed is produced for the birds, formulated and laboratory tested, ensuring the feed is free from any harmful substance that may reside in the product.

Modern multi-tier air-conditioned house and automated eggs collection facilities.

Huat Lai's production facilities are currently spread over six farms in the districts of Serkam and Selandar which employ bio-security measures and world-class technology. Within well-manicured lawns and landscaped gardens, the majority of the layer flock of 1.2 million birds are housed in modern multi-tier air-conditioned layer houses. These layer houses are fully equipped with automated trolley feeders, nipple drinkers, egg collection and egg counting systems to produce quality eggs and maximise production levels.

ISO 9001 Certification

Ever conscious to the needs of providing consistent high degree of excellent eggs to customers, the Company began working diligently towards ISO 9001 certification and received the prestigious award on 10 August 2001 for its modern multi-tier layer farms at Selandar, Melaka.

The only poultry farm to receive this prestigious certification, Huat Lai is strongly committed to continually improve the quality of its products and quality of its own operations, and to provide confidence that quality system requirements are fulfilled.
