Leveling, Tamping and Aligning Machine for switches and crossings VPRS-03
| Machine VPRS-03 is designed for roadbed leveling, tamping and aligning of railway track. It performs longitudinal and transversal leveling and aligning, as well as tamping ballast under sleepers and around butt-ends of sleepers, under bars the of switches and crossings.|
The machine is used for the construction, repair and maintenance of railway tracks with the gauges of 1435 mm and 1520 mm with rails up to R65 (inclusive) laid on wood or reinforced concrete sleepers which are bedded in various types of ballast. VPRS-03 is a multi-purpose railway machine operating in cycles. It performs simultaneously or separately leveling, aligning and tamping of railway track in either semi-automatic or manual mode, both on main track, switches and crossings.
The machine is equipped with additional removable device for hoisting a third rail for operation on heavy switch assemblies with bars of reinforced concrete. This device permits to handle the third rail and to effect partial tamping of a long bar in the 3rd point for fixing it.
The machine has two-sleepers tamping units for tamping one sleeper from both sides and two neighboring sleepers from the inside.
Leveling devices of the machine are controlled by a microprocessor system. An on-board computer with a keyboard for the input of current data is designated for recording and storing information about the condition of the track before and after leveling, and about rated parameters of the track, as well as for calculating, generating control signals, providing an interface for the user, etc.
The machine is most effectively used in maintenance of the track after a major repair (prior to the first and second track raising), in track raising and medium repair. Due to the high transportation speed VPRS-03 can quickly reach a work site at the distance of up to 200 km.
